Our 360 degree feedback profiles are based on the well-researched Leader/Manager Model [more]. By creating questionnaires that avoid direct manager appraisal and cover a holistic set of behaviours for Leadership and Management, both People and Task, we make available instruments that are both motivating and appreciated as fair, broad in scope and non-threatening.
Questionnaires are processed directly on the Internet by the Survey Coordinator, or can be paper based. The comprehensive Leader/Manager Guide, the Leader/Manager Types™ self-scoring instrument and the Emotional Intelligence Change Indicators can be used in conjunction with the profiles in debriefing the manager. Website and all materials are available in US or International spelling, and with company logos.

Each of the Leader/Manager questionnaires asks for feedback on a full range of behaviours in the areas of Leadership and Management, both People and Task. The questionnaires give as much importance to leadership as to management, and promote a language common to all. Any issue that a team or manager may want to discuss can emerge with this framework. For each item, it asks them what they require more or less of in order to be more successful. Anonymity ensures honesty and accuracy. The result is a profile of the team's perceptions of needs for improvement.
The questionnaire does not ask for judgments about the manager but asks only for feedback on team members' needs. The process is therefore non-threatening, avoids creating resistance, and leads directly to mutual problem solving.
The Best Practice behaviours of the Leader/Manager Model link very closely to those that will be displayed in a truly values-based organization. Organizations that talk 'mission' and 'values' but don't operate from them will show us as having significant needs for these behaviours. Those organizations that want to operationalise their chosen values will find that they largely map onto the Leader/Manager Model. Comparisons show a match of up to 87%.
Staff100 – This is the classic profile for managers with direct reports and 'boss' where the focus is on improving their leadership and management of the team. It uses the 100 items based on the Leader/Manager Model.
Staff100-Peer40 – Adding to the Staff100, this 360 degree feedback profile includes responses from Peers. The Peer questionnaire is based on the 40 'most used' items. It is particularly useful where interaction between different managers and their teams plays a key role in the managers' success and effectiveness. The profile thus provides a complete 360 degree feedback.
Team100 – This questionnaire is used by teams with varying degrees of self-management in order to discover how they view their own performance. It does not focus on individual performance but on the team as a whole. The team's manager may also provide input.
Staff40-Peer40 – This profile has been used since 1999 by a major Australian Graduate School of Management for its Executive MBA students, and more recently by universities in other countries. It is most often used by coaches and mentors. It is generally known as the 360 Leader/Manager Profile™.
Other combinations - While these profiles suit the majority of situations, other options are available, as well as customising which may be required in some situations. Versions of profiles based on the 40-item questionnaire are used where it is considered that they will fit better with the organization's culture, or where there may be language difficulties. All surveys and materials are provided in International or US spelling.
Paper & Email. All questionnaires are available in Internet and hardcopy versions and even mixed surveys on request. All profiles (including paper input) can be monitored and printed directly from the 360 Facilitated® website by the coordinating consultant/facilitator.

A Statistical Summary of a 360 Facilitated® intervention will provide a benchmark for a group of managers, or for the organization. It will indicate the level of suggested change as well as the degree of alignment between managers, teams and 'bosses' at a point in time. Although it never pretends to 'measure the manager', it will let you compare groups of managers over time and with international norms. It gives managers specific benchmarks from which to improve, especially suggested change and alignment between levels. You can produce Statistical Profiles (using the survey profile format) for any group of managers whenever you want. We provide more detailed Statistical Reporting on request.
Facilitate with the team?
You may have the opportunity to facilitate the 360 degree feedback with the team and manager, or with the peer group. Alternatively, your program may be aimed solely at coaching or other manager development. In either case, to view the options available, click here.
