LINKED TOOLS - LEADER/MANAGER TYPES, EI & ROI

The Added Power of Linked Tools

Leader/Manager Types™

The Leader/Manager Model has been used successfully with self-assessment tools such as: Myers-Briggs Type Indicator®, Team Management Profile®, varieties of 'DISC', Belbin, etc. Each of these tools will usually show the relation between the Participant's preferred style and the kind of feedback they are receiving from others. Along similar lines, Peter Farey created the independent Leader/Manager Types™ self-scoring instrument which provides eight 'types' of manager, based on the Leader/Manager Framework. This simpler instrument relates directly to the manager's preferred style, and has been very well received with consistent comments about its accuracy. In debriefing the manager it helps them understand, accept and use the separate 360 profile they receive. [more]

Emotional Intelligence Indicators

In recent years, the issues of Emotional Intelligence. EI and EQ have come to the fore as determinants of individual and even organizational success. The fundamental relevance of the Leader/Manager Model is shown by the fact that these concepts and measures are found to be already part of the Framework – largely on the People side. The Leader/Manager EI Change Indicators can optionally be made part of the profile, highlighting this information for the manager as perceived strength or weakness.

Our research shows that EI items overall receive about the same degree of suggested change as do the remainder of the items. However, the EI Change Indicator indicates whether this area should be given special attention by individual Participants. [more]

Return on Investment (ROI)

Measures of ROI have two critical values:

  1. ROI proves to each manager and team the value that results from the improvements they make
  2. ROI can prove the impact and value of the program and hence embed it fully in the organization's culture
