Marta takes a true delight in professional counselling, specialising in couples and families, weight release and relaxation. In the course of her work she has helped both parents and their children. She has a deep concern for people and this draws their loyalty in return. Her clients maintain contact with her over years and continue to recognise the way in which she has helped them.
Marta is a Practitioner of Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP) accredited with Inform Training, members of the International NLP Trainers Association (INLPTA). She also has a Diploma in Clinical Hypnotherapy from the NSW School of Hypnotic Science and Diploma from Valley Hypnosis Center, California. In addition, she has undertaken studies in Community Service Certificate III, Anatomy and Physiology, Swedish Massage, Reflexology, and Aroma Therapy. She has completed courses in Reiki, Accelerative Learning and Public Speaking and is a graduate of Silva Seminars.
Marta spent 7 years as a Counsellor with Jenny Craig weight loss programs, in that time gaining twenty-four monthly awards and the national award in 1996. Two of her clients were selected for TV advertisements because of their extraordinary success. Marta's outstanding performance with her clients arises from the way in which she builds strong relationships with them, both male and female, and assists and encourages them right through to achievement of their goals. Many of them have insisted on seeing only her as their counsellor.
At Jenny Craig, Marta conducted the course in Nutrition and Behavioural Techniques (social, emotional and physical aspects of eating). She was also selected to train as Program Director. She accepted a sales role for a time but, despite her success, elected to return to working with her clients.
Recently she has begun sharing her knowledge through seminars and workshops presented in English and in Spanish.
Marta was born in Argentina and came to Australia with two small children in 1977. She speaks Spanish and Italian and builds rapport very easily with both Australian and foreign born clients of every nationality. During her early period in this country, she spent eleven years as owner-manager of successful small businesses, developing the skills of selling, marketing and negotiating. In her desire to broaden herself, to understand the new culture in which she found herself, and to better understand her clients, she took a variety of courses including computers, travel, sewing, drawing, oil painting, calligraphy, and even bricklaying.
More recently, Marta has returned to her love of painting and music. She plays guitar and sings Argentinian folk music, once winning competitions on Argentine radio, and continuing to perform at gatherings in Sydney. She and her husband have sung in Latin American choral groups.
