PROFILE: SHARRON SPRATT

B Soc. Anthrop. Dip H, Dip Ed, Pr.NLP

Sharron's workshops are practical, exciting and very involving. Her fascination with training is to work with groups, large and small, and with individual clients over a period of years to see fully implemented changes. She aims for significant outcomes - usually well beyond the client's expectations.

She recognised early on the importance of Accelerative Learning, and attended the SEAL international conference in the UK, involving herself fully in the new technology of learning. Accelerative Learning has fitted with her style because of the new opportunities it provides to improve individual brain function and so help people really change in any area of development. She has been able to use it in designing and presenting programs such as Leadership Development and Executive Coaching, as well as workshops in Customer Care, Team Development, Stress Management and Time Management. Another area is Telephone Sales Skills, including Computer Training - both software and Help Desks.

Having run programs in telephone selling and customer care skills over a number of years, Sharron has developed network equipment to allow participants a realistic experience of dealing with calls in the work setting. She has found that this approach, in tandem with video, can also benefit executives in developing their style of presenting.

Sharron has a degree in Social Anthropology from Victoria University, Wellington, a Diploma of Health from Auckland University, and a Teachers Diploma. She is accredited with the Margerison-McCann Team Management Index, is a Practitioner of Neuro-Linguistic Programming, and also has considerable computer expertise.

Sharron began her career teaching and as a Community Development Officer. She then took positions as Sales Representative, Supervisor, Sales Executive and Trainer in California and the UK, where she settled for six years. By 1989 she was established sufficiently to operate independently and continue full time training and consulting in a variety of programs - an area in which she takes a strong interest is Women in Management - developing those who are already managers, and helping others prepare themselves for the role.

Sharron's clients in the UK included Centre-File (bank clearance centre), Global Asset Management and ACT Financial System, the Royal Mail, Ford Motor Co. and University of Birmingham. She contacted Leaderskill a year before emigrating to Australia, and was delighted to find an organisation with aims and values she could share. Sharron joined Leaderskill on arrival at the end of 1991, and immediately began training and consulting.

Sharron worked with Johnson & Johnson in a long-term strategy to increase productivity in Self-Managing Teams, develop teams strategically, and create teams of Change Facilitators. She is a presenter for the J&J New Leaders Forum in Australia and New Zealand. She has worked at all levels from directors to shop floor, in Australasia and Asia. Other clients have included Telstra, AT&T, Sydney Water, Manly Council, the ABC, GasTech, Unisys, Perth City Council, NSW Police Service Executive Development, Willoughby and Waverley Councils, and innovative Trainer Training for the Dept of Employment, Education and Training (DEET).

She presented Willoughby Council's Upward Feedback® (360 Facilitated®) results at an IIR conference and is a keen advocate of this program. Recent large clients are ACP, Alcatel and Red Cross Blood Service.

Sharron is a consummate professional, acclaimed for her personal and individual approach wherever she goes.
